Stephen Perry, Chairman of the British business network 48 Group Club, joined the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) as Honorary Professor in Beijing, China Friday.

At the conferring ceremony held at the university on Friday, Perry said that being bestowed this honorary professorship is of great personal and emotional importance.

Addressing the future cooperation between Britain and China, Perry said that even though there are a lot of concerns in Europe about its relationship with China, it would be very shortsighted for Britain to shut itself out from the Chinese market.

“China is where all development and growth is happening. China is going to impact the world in ways which are yet fully to be seen,” Perry said.

Stephen Perry is also invited to attend the grand gathering and military parade in Beijing, celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China on October 1.
